The stately elegant qualities of Brandon Grotesque’s lighter weights are the right visual and conceptual match for this consultancy working in the realm of privately owned fine art. The Light Italic in particular, used for the call outs, conveys just the right balance of sober readability, with an occasional cursive flourish. At this size, the tall caps and high ascenders (together with the extra line spacing they demand) make an overt difference to the character of the typography; the layout feels capacious without becoming empty (like the best photographs of prestige architectural interiors).
At the smaller paragraph level too, Brandon Grotesque lends the layout an elegant, spacious air without sacrificing readability. Setting the text in that mid grey might be a little problematic in browsers on Windows XP – but in general the rendering is great across all the latest browsers and operating systems.
