Description
This site for a New Zealand gin producer mixes contrasting design elements nicely: rough brush strokes vs slick geometric forms; photographs set against illustrations; organised layout interrupted by seemingly random objects; and (of most interest to us here at Webfonts.info) slick, modular FF DIN Web contrasts effectively with the forceful angularity of Emigre’s Matrix II.
At the typographic and layout level, this single long scrolling page parcels up the various blocks of content well, without falling into predictable traps. Typesetting is used to organize and distinguish sections, shifting from single to multiple columns, adding frames and layers and using the parallax effect in smart and subtle ways that by turns both encourage pauses and further scrolling.
