Green Chameleon’s selection of three sans serif typefaces works because the underlying structure of the three faces is more or less geometric and rational in origin.
Each of Avenir and Brandon Grotesque take as their source the modernist typefaces of the early twentieth century, while the condensed Bebas Neue recalls Victorian grotesque advertising type. All three have no stroke contrast to speak of, rather the differences are largely at the cosmetic level.
It also helps that, in such a simple site structure (it’s only a holding page at the moment), each typeface can be assigned a specific role that suits its characteristics; Avenir is used for text, Brandon for buttons and navigation and Bebas Neue for top level headings.
